The four levels
Choose the right level of assurance.
Audit
Highest level of assuranceAn audit provides reasonable assurance that your financial statements are free of material misstatement. Required by many lenders, grantors, regulators, and licensing boards.
- Risk assessment and substantive testing
- Internal control evaluation
- Confirmation procedures with third parties
- Issued under AICPA, GAGAS (Yellow Book), or Uniform Guidance as needed
Review
Limited assuranceA review is based primarily on analytical procedures and inquiry. A common middle-ground for lenders, sureties, and the Nevada State Contractors Board.
- Analytical procedures across periods
- Targeted inquiries with management
- Lower cost than a full audit
- Often acceptable for licensing thresholds
Compilation
No assuranceWe assist management in presenting financial statements without expressing an opinion or conclusion. Useful for internal use, smaller lender requests, and lower-tier licensing.
- Statements presented in proper form
- No verification or assurance procedures
- Most affordable assurance-adjacent option
Agreed-Upon Procedures
Targeted testingWe perform specific procedures defined by you and your stakeholders, then report the factual findings — no opinion, no conclusion.
- Custom-scoped to a single decision or question
- Common for grants, royalties, and M&A diligence
- Reported under SSAE standards
